I LOVE it here! Feels like your own beautiful home in country...that you invite all your friends to! The staff is very friendly and the fire is always lit. The perfect Winter stay.
Not a bad place, I wouldn't recommend it though. The horseback riding wasn't really good. Too many walls per bed. The food was decent but it wasn't good. All in all,it's not a bad movie.
I just had a very nice dinner at the Barrows House Restaurant. I had the steak fries, a filet mignon done just right, with a Gorgonzola sauce and shoestring like tried potatoes. We ate outside on a beautiful night. The service was excellent, too
My experience was completely dreadful. In town for the weekend, visiting, I was told I needed to experience Barrows restaurant. However, after being seated I was able to finish the lord of the rings trilogy while they fetched my water. Furthermore, after speaking with the manager (6 times to be exact), I was ensured the meal would be right out and free of charge. Well, I guess free of charge doesn't necessarily mean we would actually get our meal. Ultimately, this experience was nothing short of disheartening and truly ruined my experience. I do not suggest you even attempt to visit this poor establishment. You're better off eating at the McDonald's down the street.
Purchased a gift card on groupon for Barrows House and surprised my wife for our 6th anniversary and we loved it. We couldn't have been any happier with the accommodations, our room was in the main inn and was spacious, clean and had a fire place. We were pleased with the food, drinks, fire pit, greatroom with fire place plus the employees were very welcoming and friendly! We plan to return for our 10th anniversary get away!
